RockSim 4.0 Designs

RockSim 4.0 (Win95/NT) can be purchased from Apogee Components for $50 ($15 for an upgrade from v3.01). You can also download a free trial version (2.3MB) that has a few features turned off, but should allow you to view the following files.

SD.RKT - My first streamer-duration model.

EZI-65.RKT - I built this model of LOC's EZI-65 in preparation for my Level 1 Certification flight to find the CP.

Double-D.RKT - A D-to-D two-stager that I first built by eye-ball and then modeled in RockSim to verify stability. I added miscellaneous masses to duplicate where my prototype actually balances. Since both the booster and sustainer use motor blocks and engine clips, prepping is very quick and easy.   You just need to make sure the interstage coupler has the correct amount of friction.  Here's a photo of the boilerplate model ready for its maiden flight.  (More photos to follow.)

Volksrocket.RKT - See my Volksrocket page for more info.
